All Vines HS students are issued a Lenovo 500e Chromebook Gen 3 and a charger. Students are responsible for returning their devices in good working condition at the end of the year. Visit the district page regarding device checkout for additional information. Most physical and software problems are easily resolved by visiting the CTA (Office E104A).

Every student in the district has a Google account. With this account, they are able to access a wealth of productivity tools, including a cloud-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation program. They also have a "drive" that allows them to store and transport files between school and home.
It is the student’s responsibility to maintain control of the borrowed device until they turn it over to the CTA. Students are not to leave their device with anybody other than the CTA unless instructed to do so.
A replacement laptop costs $550, a charger costs $27.50, and a hotspot costs $85. Prices vary if the student is enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Parents may settle all debts on https://studentquickpay.com/pisd/.
The CTA will issue the student a new device on-the-spot to keep until the end of the school year or enrollment. The CTA will inform finance and the student’s assistant principal.
The CTA will issue the device and notify the student’s assistant principal who will ensure that the student returns the devices.
Visit the CTA. Students will get a loaner but they are required to return the borrowed device to the CTA’s office before 4:45 pm.
