Chris Martin

Mr. Martin is proud to serve in his eighth season as Associate Director of Bands at Vines High School. The Viking Band is an award-winning performing group, earning honors at UIL Marching and Concert & Sight Reading. In addition to concerts and contests, the Viking Band performs regularly at community events and venues, including the State Capitol Rotunda.

Prior to teaching at Vines, Mr. Martin was on staff at Bel Air High School in El Paso, TX. The Big Red Pride Band has regularly attended the UIL State Marching Band Contest, Bands of America Regionals, and various community performances. While teaching at Bel Air, Mr. Martin traveled throughout the cluster working at their middle and elementary school programs. Mr. Martin has performed in Drum Corps International and worked on Tour Staff with the Glassmen and Santa Clara Vanguard for over 10 years. 

Mr. Martin likes to keep busy trying out different coffee, staying fit, and listening to music. He currently resides in Richardson, TX with his dog, Dash.
